Meet the Owners
Cradle Cartel Lacrosse started on February 16, 2026, with an idea shared by father and son Matthew and Cullen Mayes: build something of our own and make a difference in the lacrosse community.
Matthew Mayes
Matthew, handles communication with our manufacturers and runs marketing and shipping. He helps turn our ideas into products and get them into players’ hands.
Cullen Mayes
Cullen, brings the brand directly to players. He leads sales and promotes Cradle Cartel throughout the lacrosse community, runs our social media, and handles our lacrosse stringing and dyeing. Matt and Cullen also run the website together.
Shane Kulp “The Video Man”
Shane, creates videos for our Instagram and handles filming and editing for Cradle Cartel.
How We Started
After coming up with the Cradle Cartel name and brainstorming our first logo, we began designing T-shirts. By the end of our first week, we were selling them to Cullen’s Unionville High School lacrosse teammates. Support from his coach encouraged us to keep going.
Later that month, we connected with a manufacturer to explore producing our own lacrosse heads and shafts. In June 2026, our first heads and shafts arrived just one day before our first tournament. From there, we began spreading the word at training clinics, games, and practices.
Our Goal
We want to make lacrosse equipment more accessible, support the next generation of players, and help athletes compete with confidence. We started with a goal of offering shafts for $70 and heads for $50 because we believe cost should not stand in the way of enjoying the sport and improving your game.
We know building a brand takes time, hard work, and dedication. As Cradle Cartel grows, our purpose stays the same: help players compete harder, get better, and reach their full potential.
